Sou Fujimoto: FUTURES OF THE FUTURE

In November, the exhibit SOU FUJIMOTO: FUTURES OF THE FUTURE arrives at JAPAN HOUSE São Paulo to present the artist’s multiple views through a presentation centered on models with his most representative previous works and work that is in progress, in addition to the current projects that show his progressive trials and errors for the future of architecture.

Fujimoto’s work shows a graceful strength and a poetic aesthetic representative of contemporary Japanese architecture, a source of great pride for the nation. The collection includes models of various stages of conception, including initial schematic studies and finished models that are shown to illustrate how his projects are being refined through the design process. Visitors will be invited to walk through the “forest” of models in any direction they want, freely interpreting the works and enjoying imagining the future.

Sou Fujimoto will also make two lectures during his stay, one at FAU-USP, an event that is part of the 11th São Paulo Architecture Biennial, and at JAPAN HOUSE São Paulo, during the opening of his exhibit.
